Much like you, I would guess I began to pay attention to morning news commercials. Who knew so many local home improvement companies advertised on regional TV stations? I checked out Google and I began to see that my social media feeds started to see a huge influx of Replacement Window Companies in my area.
I did some basic research about windows, but honestly I didn’t have the patience to study all the specifications. I left most of that to my husband. My role in the process was to contact the companies he had interest in and then schedule the appointment so it worked with both of our schedules.

I learned pretty quick that no one was willing to “quote” me the price for 12 windows or even one window. They all insisted that they needed to get inside my home to be able to get me an accurate quote.
Some were pretty nice and put very little to no pressure on me. (Rosati and McCloud Windows) Others like Window World and Window Nation outstayed their welcome.
What I learned as I started putting the pieces together is that the ones who were affordable, they were fine leaving me with either a paper or electronic quote, knowing full well they likely had the better prices and I’d probably call them back. The ones who were the most costly, they obviously were aware of this and used their high pressure tactics of, “this price is only good for today” to attempt to get me to sign on the dotted line.

I made the decision to create and start this website to help others like me, make some of your decisions before you invest your time in sitting through window demonstrations. Every home and project is different, but at the least you can see the price difference as a dollar amount or if you want to grab the calculator on your phone, you can determine the percentage of increase from one company to the next.
Over the next few weeks and months, I’ll continue to invite window reps into my home and collect more quotes along with taking notes on how they conduct their in-home appointments.
