Rosati Windows Vs. Window World – Which is the more affordable option in Columbus, Ohio?

We have invited both Window World of Hilliard and Rosati Windows into our home to get a quote for our 1,580 square foot ranch, which has twelve windows.

How much does it cost to replace windows in Columbus, Ohio.

Be sure to check out the Wacky Window Woman comparison chart to see how the biggest replacement window providers in Columbus, Ohio stack up one against the other.

The cost difference between these two was $628, which is pretty close. They each came out to my home in the Spring of 2025 and gave us a quote based on 12 Windows. All quotes included double hung, double pane windows, no tempered glass, plus the required grids on the two front windows per HOA requirements.

Rosati was $11,300 and Window World was $10,672. That averages out to $941.67 for the Rosati Window and $889.33 for the Window World Window. Rosati charges an extra fee to haul away old windows and material and also charges a flat fee if you want to finance the total vs. paying in cash. Rosati’s total price of $11,300 on the chart does include those two additional fees.

Rosati Replacement Windows, Columbus, Ohio

Rosati sells windows and doors. They manufacture everything in their shop off Roberts road on the northwest side of Columbus. All of the people in their factory, their sales force and all of their installers are employees of the company. Many of them have been there for 20 or 30 years as the company was passed down from Father to Son, Mike Rosati. Our sales rep, “Ralph” spent a great deal of time talking about the Rosati family, but eventually got around to talking about the windows.

“Ralph” didn’t bring a window sample into our home, which I thought was weird. He was with us for like 25 minutes. “Ralph” was knowledgeable and left us with a quote so we could “think on it” and said we could get back to him with questions or to let him know if we wanted to move forward. He also offered to set up a time for us to come tour the factory, since it was so close to where we live. There was absolutely no pressure to make a decision the day of our Window appointment.

We did end up calling him to inquire about the “extras” he included on the quote. There was a price for hauling away the old windows and material and also an extra flat fee added in if we wanted to finance vs. paying cash. He didn’t cover these details while there in person so we wanted to confirm whether they were included in the total price he quoted or not. They were included per “Ralph” at Rosati Windows.

As I’ve continued to shop replacement windows and gain more quotes for this website an my chart, it has come up multiple times that Rosati’s window has the thickest profile. It’s typical and well-known, that replacement windows usually have a wider frame profile than new construction windows. That means you might lose a bit of glass space, and in some cases, your existing blinds or window treatments may no longer fit inside the window frame — especially if your current windows are original builder-grade with custom-fitted coverings.

Of all the companies I’ve looked at, Rosati Windows has the largest frame profile. As you’re comparing vinyl replacement windows, be sure to ask about the frame and sash width — it can make a noticeable difference in both appearance and function.

Window World – Replacement Windows, Columbus Ohio

Although their quotes were only a few hundred dollars apart, I will say that “Ralph” at Rosati was more professional. “Walt” at Window World marched into our home with his bag of “stuff” his window sample and an air of confidence that suggested it didn’t matter if he was super polished or 100% professional he was who he was. I think he knew he’d be competitively priced and that he didn’t need to beg us to purchase from him on that day. He also said he would not be calling us to follow up, but rather, we should call him if we decided we wanted to move forward.

“Walt” immediately grabbed one of his brochures and using his ink pen as a pointer he began to spell out how they manufacture the windows. He started this before I even got into the room, so I missed the first 30 to 45 seconds of his “product demonstration” and he didn’t offer to cover the details a 2nd time with me. He then pulled out one of his quote sheets that had different sections and options on it and began to fill in the areas with our 12 windows. The five sections included:

  1. Window World Basics
  2. Glass/Window Options
  3. Door Options
  4. Pre-1978 Built Home option
  5. Miscellaneous options

He told us that if the price was higher than we expected, we could use the sheet to see the cost for some of the options, like argon gas and Low-E glass and if we wanted to whittle down the total we could take some options away. We wanted everything he had quoted, so for us, that was the price, $10,673 which currently makes them number 2 on the Wacky Window Woman Comparison Chart.

He also was one of first few who brought his window sample in when he entered. I suspect the others also had a sample, but for whatever reason they didn’t bring it in originally or even offered to bring it in. He did a very quick demo and we could see that it was the same brand of window that we had already purchased from McCloud Windows. However, he didn’t do the memory mesh screen golf tee trick that “Joe” from McCloud Windows did. What I now know, is the the Alside 4000 series that Window World sells, has a traditional fiberglass screen, no memory mesh like the Alside Quattro that McCloud sells.

Double Pane vs. Triple Pane
Some Replacement Companies in Ohio offer Triple Pane Windows in addition to Double Pane.

Window World and Rosati Windows, who is the most affordable?

If you narrow it down to price alone, then Window World is the winner in this match up. If I were to score the sales process of “Walt” of Window World and “Ralph” of Rosati, then Ralph would win that particular category. However, neither of them hold a candle to “Joe” at McCloud Windows.

As I’ve mentioned this website isn’t about all the specifications or what’s included in the Warranty, etc. So please use this as a gauge for pricing, but do your homework on the items that are important to you.
